How is the freelancing channel different than other rooms?

Everything I will be teaching you is HOW to close your first clients, retain them, and build an actual brand. Skill specific guidance can be found from other Professors. This is the channel you come for showing you how to PICK YOUR SKILL and start finding clients & retaining them.

What is freelancing?

Freelancing is simply trading a skill in exchange for money. We do this by offering our skill to clients for a premium price. With the main focus being on delivering more value to them than what they are paying us. Meaning if you can generate $10k worth of value to a client, you can charge $3k/month. On the other hand, if you generate $40k worth of value, you can charge $5k to $10k/month. Freelancing is one of the easiest ways to make money online and stop trading your time for money. Especially when you begin implementing the moneybag methods of freelancing so you’re not chasing gigs. Instead, you have a few clients paying you thousands per month.

I know nothing about freelancing, so how do I get started?

First, this will seem like a lot to digest. Stay focused. Where you are now in life doesn't matter. Within HU, you have been given the keys to taking yourself wherever you want to go. The biggest aspect of getting started as a freelancer is picking a skill you’re already naturally good at. Meaning maybe you’re better at writing than most. Possibly being a copywriter or Twitter Ghostwriter would be a good move for you. DO NOT overthink this. Move forward and utilize these resources and the chat to gain clarity. How do I pick my niche? Picking your niche is simple. Start with what you’re naturally drawn to. Meaning, if you’re drawn to crypto, you probably know more than the average person does about crypto. Also - you will enjoy the work you do. On the other hand, let’s say the new trend is some new tech and you have ZERO interest in it. You’d avoid it (at least in the beginning). As you would have to force yourself to learn + would get left in the dust by anyone who’s interested in it already. The goal for you RIGHT NOW is to get you to your first client. So you will start with what you are naturally interested in.
